Dealing with subordinates who broke the rules was nothing new to Elijah. For years he has been the primary enforcer of the law when it came to his parents armies and when he had joined forced with his cousins he had taken up the mantle within their ranks as well. While all were perfectly capable of doing so and Mikhail was one who took great joy in dealing out punishments Elijah viewed it more as a job than a pleasure. It was his way of helping to protect the family and enforce their rule over the ones beneath them.

It was also something he had perfected over the centuries. It was the reason his security firm was trusted in so many places and so highly regarded. Because he did not accept failure from his people and worked constantly to improve the quality of work his people provided. Nothing less than perfection was allowed when it came to the safety and security of those he was entrusted to watch over.

Which is how he found himself in his current position. "Hector. Let's take a walk." Smiling warmly he held up the pups leash and attached it to the collar around the boys neck. Taking a moment to pet the boys hair in gentle strokes he grinned and led the way out of the house. It was a short walk to the wolf pack pen but enough to stretch both their legs. Letting out the leash so Hector could run around in the grass as they trekked the half mile stretch he let his smile twist into a smirk.

He was exceptional at punishing him men but he was also curious. Thus far Hector had proven himself to be a loyal and worshiping pup but Elijah knew there was more fire in the boy than he showed at first glance. The fierce jealousy shown when Elijah brought home other playmates or the anger the pup had shown when Evan had joined them for their picnic at the cherry blossom festival. Yes, there was a fighter in his little one and Elijah was determined to see just how far the boy would go to please his master.

Hector was not necessarily going stir crazy... but he was definitely feeling the need to stretch his legs and explore. The pup was full of curiosity. He was meant to roam, explore, and get in trouble. He was allowed to roam a little... with a leash attached. It satisfied his desire somewhat, but there would always be that part of him that wanted to run without borders and restrictions.

Needless to say, Hector was excited when Elijah offered to take Hector for a walk, the pup pounced on the opportunity. Literally. He jumped and nearly collided with the front door as he waited for Elijah to open it.

Hector darted around during the hike to the location his master was leading him to. Hector would stray away a short distance but he would always run back to Elijah's scent minutes later. His naked skin baked in the sunlight, adding to his tanning Greek skin.

Watching as his boy ran to and from Elijah could not help the small joy that spread through his chest. If one had told him that he would find himself absolutely adoring the human he had brought home to be a simple plaything he would have laughed in their faces. Elijah Ashcroft did not get attached to the pets he brought home. They were disposable toys that were meant to be used and tossed aside when they were no longer entertaining.

But Hector was a different story.

He was perfection in the eyes of the wolf. Loyal. Pliant. Energetic. Amusing. Chaotic. Everything he did not know he was missing from the world until it was handed to him. Should the time come that he was ever forced to do away with his pup he knew it would be a heartbreaking decision indeed. But now was not the time to dwell on such thoughts. Not when there were much more pleasant events about to play out for their amusement.

Gently pulling on the leash to bring his exploring pet closer as they reached the wolf pens Elijah met the gazes of the men gathered outside. Four men in casual clothing surrounded by six of his best guards. "Gentlemen." Greeting them calmly he nodded to the guards who took several steps back, giving them space. "You have all been found to be in gross neglect of your duty. Maintaining the southern perimeter near my dear cousin Paityn's home was a duty assigned to you and yet you were all caught abandoning your stations."

Seeing the start of objections growing on their lips he held up a hand to silence them. "Do not insult me by trying to deny it. I have photographic evidence of you four in various locations throughout the city while your schedules mandated that you should be at your posts over looking her home and watching out for her. This is an act that simply cannot be forgiven. You endangered the life and security of my cousin, of the other members of this pack, and even myself in your negligence. Therefor your lives are forfeit."

Raising a hand up he stroked the side of Hector's face lovingly before trailing his fingers down to unsnap the leash, finger crooking in the collar for a moment as he met the humans eyes with his own deep gold gaze. "Hector. You understand what I said, yes? They endangered us all." Leaning forward he brushed his lips against the boys forehead and grinned. "Kill them." And then his hands slipped away, stepping back to face the men once more as he waited to see exactly how his boy would react.

TRIGGER WARNING: EXTREME GORY VIOLENCE AND DEATH

Hector had no idea about the politics, power structure, organization, and effort it took to maintain the Ashcroft Compound. He was perfectly oblivious to it all. Even if his mind were completely intact and completely human, he would still struggle with the grand scale of the Ashcroft legacy. It was a massive familial organization with a long history. Hector definitely had a lot to learn. He listened to Elijah speak and tilted his head to the side like the confused, curious puppy he was. He listened to Elijah's tone of voice and determined that his master was not happy.

Then Elijah explained it to Hector more clearly and bluntly.

Hector understood.

Elijah was their master. They failed their master. They deserved death.

How dare they anger master!

Kill them.

As soon as he was released, Hector's body shifted. His tan skin turned pitch black. His body began shapeshifting smoothly, seamlessly, and effortlessly. In seconds, the human boy Hector was no longer standing at Elijah's side. Instead, a strange beast that appears to be a mismatch of various animals stood. It was bipedal with long, gorilla-like arms. It had a furry tail like a wolf, but it was prehensile like a money. He had white, sharp bony claws like a lion or tiger but fingers like a human. He had white, bony spikes protruding from his back like a lizard. His head was a bleach-white skull of a wolf. The white, bony parts of his body were in perfect contrast to his pitch-black fur and skin. Hector now stood approximately 10 feet tall, even when hunched down.

The monstrous beast named Hector leaped forward. His claws dug into the stomach of the first of of the condemned. He grabbed onto the man's intestines and yanked them from his core. Several feet of eviscerated organ as strew to the floor as the man screamed in agony. Hector was tired of the screams. He wanted to silence it. It annoyed his sensitive ears. The jaw of the wolf head snapped opened, dislocated, and expanded open drastically much like a snake would when it prepared to swallow its prey whole. Hector's jaws then snapped around the man's head... the entirety of the man's head... and crushed as hard as it could. The man's skull cracked audibly before the pressure of the bite force caused it to cave in. The skull and all of its contents were crushed. The man's screams were silenced.

The first of the four were dead. Hector spat out remnants of the man's skull before turning to look to Elijah. Even in such a bestial state, Hector wanted to know if his master was pleased with his work so far.

Shifting his head to observe the change with practiced calm and ease Elijah nodded his head once in approval. While not the most graceful beast one could shift into he was a frightening sight to behold. Mixed animals and beast all rolled into one to present a form so violently gruesome several of his guards shifted nervously, their guns shifting as if to point at Hector but Elijah cut his eyes sharply in their direction and their hands stayed their positions at their sides, trusting their commander's order despite their own apprehension.

Then Hector was off. Sailing through the air in a leap. Twisting around with his hands folded neatly behind his back he watched as the boy turned beast tore through the abdomen of one of the men. As blood flew through the air along with organs and screams the three others behind paled and began backing away. Telekinesis held them in place though while Elijah's eyes never once left his pets.

He did not want to miss a single moment. Shifting from one foot to another to adjust himself for better viewing his smirk grew wider, darker, as the sound of splintering bone echoed through the field. As the hunkering beast turned towards him Elijah nodded his head approvingly. "Good boy." Flicking his gaze towards the three he lifted a finger and pointed it towards the middle of the three. The demon jerked forward quickly before falling to the ground a few feet from the beast. "Come now. Be a good lad and give my boy a proper fight. He needs the exercise."

Hector turned to the next victim Elijah presented him. It was a male demon of some sort who looked utterly terrified. Hector began growling deeply and lowered his head and torso as he prepared to pounce. The demon activated one of his dominions - electricity - and sent a bolt of lightning from his hand toward Hector.

Hector was stunned but only for a second as the painful shock surged through his body. His growling turned into a snarl. The demon activated another dominion - invisibility - in an effort to be unseen. Hector then tuned into his superior senses. His sense of smell was the first to lock on to the man. Next was his hearing. Hector could hear his footsteps as he attempted to flee.

While running quickly to catch up, four massive appendages sprouted from Hector's spine. They were like spider legs except to a much more massive scale. They were pitch black like the rest of Hector's shifted body, nearly ten feet long each, and tipped with a massive, sharp bone spike. The first of the four appendages struck into the empty air. It was suddenly coated red with blood. It had found its target. The demon suddenly lost his invisible cloak. Hector's appendage had pierced his shoulder.

The second appendage pierces through his back and out the front of his chest. The third pierces his lower back and out through the stomach. The final appendage pierced the man's other shoulder. The appendages pulled the body toward Hector who sunk the claws front his hands into the flesh of the man's back. Hector snarled loudly as he snapped off ribs and tore away organs to pull free the demon's still-beating heart. The demon's body, shredded and impaled, was then tossed lifelessly near the two remaining victims.

Hector placed the heart to his bony jaws and snapped down. He chewed softly before swallowing the life-giving organ. The spider-like appendages sank back into Hector's form. The monstrously shifted human walked to his master's side and nuzzled him. Although he was used to being shorter than his master, Hector bulky size made him a few feet taller.
