Character Summary

When you live on the streets by yourself, you tend to use whatever you have to get what you want, and that is exactly what he does. Rarely does he seem to care about the hurting of others, and he is not usually one to comfort someone. He is rough around the edges. A bark of a laugh. A blade in his hand. A gun on his shoulder. And for a Legionnaire? He really has difficulty following orders. Can't forget he prefers mud in his hands, to a prim and polished exterior

Character In-Depth

Picture this. A beautiful, loving home. You walk through the door and a burst of freshly baked cookies filtered the air, the fragrance clinging to your senses like a warm hug. Laughter billowing out of the living room just to your right, where two young men, one 12 and one 15, laughed over some obnoxious joke while their father leaned back in a comfort chair. Sparkling smiles and shining eyes, a light with happiness and patience as their mother spun about in the kitchen with a pink hearted apron strapped around her waist. It is the perfect home, with nothing but a comfortable life and the twinkle of promise.

Just to the left of you when you walk in to join the festive living room there is a shadow. The light fog on a window from breath. Cold pale finger tips touching the window pane, invisible to the others in the hours. That’s Logan. He spent every Christmas outside watching the beauty of what a home should be like while his finger tips barely remained functional through the cold. His ragged clothes that he grew embarrassed of. He would never have a home like that, and even if he could walk through the door it’s not like he’d fit in. He was covered in dirt and grime, and he spent so much time running from placement, that he doubted he could ever really be in a house. The confinements of a home were just a distant dream, something he would never have.

You see, Logan’s parents died when he was only 4 years old. Not much to the story, just drugs. And yes, you may insist the fact that there are options for children in his position. A kid could go to a cousin or family member, unfortunately he didn’t have any. If that fails, like it did in his place, he could go to a foster home and then eventually, possibly, especially since he was so adorable looked, adoption. The problem is Logan never talked. He didn’t speak any words, and he seemed just a Fosters never lasted long, especially after the night terrors kept the temporary caregivers up every night. I mean, that’ll happen when you walk in on your parents blue and cold with a needle sticking out of them at such a young age. But, patience seemed very little in the households that had 3, 4, 5, or 7 other children to take care of. He just became sort of..forgotten. Tossed around until he was old enough to take care of himself and escaped. At 11.

Logan never did the whole ‘gang’ life thing, instead he did a paper route. He always knew he could do better. Be better. He’d run when he needed too, was silent when was convenient, or a smart aleck when he needed a distraction. He learned to morph his personality to those around him so he could blend in, and lying became a big savior. He could convince one person he was waiting for his father to pick him up, and moments later explain that his mom was just in the laundry mat and he didn’t want to hang around with the smell people. Speaking of laundry matts, did you know how easy it is to slip your clothes in anothers load? Easy peasy. He got the odd jobs, and always favored trading instead of money. He found trading could get him around quite a bit easier, and he saved his money. He did the highschool thing, and he did the many jobs while doing the highschool thing. Excelled in the school thing. Excelled the work thing. Construction work seemed to be his best friend, good pay and always under the table.

His life was not easy, but somehow he could never picture himself in that cozy home with the family laughing and enjoying. He learned skills many his age would not know, did things someone older wouldn’t even have done. And finally, when he was old enough, he joined the military. Get out of the cold? Check. Free meals? Check. Put survival skills to the test? Check. He excelled much like he did in most of his life. His easy capability to fit in and mimic those around him allowed him to strengthen in ranking. He knew how to shut up and work. He knew that the meals and warmth and drills was the best thing that ever happened to him. He is Recon. Tasked with going beyond the city and keeping order in the City.
