Character Summary

Not much seems to faze him. He is typically seen going about with a neutral look upon his face. He doesn't have any particular grand ambitions, with the single desire to live life in a manner that suits him. He's an artist, but not necessarily professional. His family came from old money and he lives off of that inheritance instead of selling his artwork. He has a particular fascination with mythology and obscure knowledge. He despises being unable to tell truth apart from falsehoods. He can be mocking in his speech, but he tolerates little mocking towards himself. Isaac is first and foremost a prideful creature.

Dominions

The Magician Tier 1. Ascension to "THE HEDGEWITCH"

The hedgewitch may be an apprentice, but they’re still a resourceful soul who plans and prepares well for the life they lead. The hedgewitch is at home in subtle thoughts, smells and tastes.

You feel new possibilities within you. You can now cause minor illness in yourself and others. The dominions technopathy, magnetism, alchemy, psychic, and biomancy are now augmented. Your character may show unusual command of those dominions for their mastery.

GNOSIS
The ability to tap into the collective knowledge of demon and human kind. Gnosis provides you access to knowledge but not necessarily wisdom.

Level 2: Minor

[Power Based: The more topics you can tap into at once, but the less detailed the information and the faster you forget them.]

PRECOGNITION
The ability to see into the immediate future or past events of ones own self or another's by touch.

Level 3: Proficient

[Control Based: The easier it is to see a longer span of time for another's future or peer into their recent history. Requires physical touch.]

AIR
The ability to manipulate wind, fog, mist, and air. This does not allow the user to fly on their own, but may allow the user to control sails of a ship, or kite-like devices

SWARM
The ability to transform yourself into a swarm of smaller creatures (e.g. insects, rodents, etc.). The higher the mastery, the larger the swarm you can transform into and the longer you can remain in swarm form. At the highest levels of mastery, a Swarm can reach biblical proportions (e.g. eclipsing swarm of locusts).

Character In-Depth

Isaac's family came from old money. He himself has a sizeable inheritance that he can live off, as his late father the, also an Arkwright, was rather aged when he had him, and left him everything after his death. His mother on the other hand had never been married to the late Arkwright, instead being a young servant of the household aware of the desire for an heir. Intending to gain money upon his death, she conceived a child with him, Isaac. Following the late Arkwright's death, his wealth was intended only for a suitable heir, with a regular stipend and allowance for a caretaker so long as the heir was in their care. In case of the heir's death, the money would fall to a rather distant relative of Arkwright. Displeased at her allowance but not willing to lose it, Isaac's mother begrudgingly took care of him.

His childhood was unremarkable. His mother gave him only the minimum level of care, but she did put that much effort in. His demon, who eventually gave herself the name Arachne, was a big influence on him during his formative years, and they share many common interests. Arachne was a major player during his formative years. He did well in school, but eventually chose to switch high schools after an incident at his previous school. It was at this new school that Sian Sinclaire met him and promptly claimed him as a friend, much to Isaac's bemusement. Isaac was at first baffled and annoyed by this occurence, but eventually it turned into a feeling of fond exasperation. They remain close friends.

Isaac went through college, having the means to do so, and then afterwards he simply took on the lifestyle of an artist, much to his fellow students surprise. He hardly ever even shows his artwork.

Demon Information

Isaac's demon takes the form of a spider when corporeal. It's preferred name is currently Arachne, but it views names as inconsequential things. Humans too, are inconsequential things, gone so quickly. She tends to refer to human beings with varied nicknames, typically having only one nickname for a human. The exception being when talking with Isaac, then names change based on situations they find themselves in. Demons are acknowledged by their chosen names, even ones that she dislikes. She is very cautious about offending beings that will last. Isaac is far from her first host, but she has some degree of fondness for him.
