Spirit Detectives

Namid is a Gun for Hire. She spent time in a Panopticon Black Ops lab. Merely referred to as "The Facility', experimentation was carried out on prisoners and demons who were victims of the great wear. It is unknown how these bodies were retrieved. But, Namid abhorred the mistreatment and mental decomposition of the patients. She secretly intervened to keep a mental balance between the sane and insane. There were a few patients she was able to sneak out.

And now, she seeks to find them after all this time - to make sure that the effects of The Facility are not wreaking havoc on their lives.

While making sure the patients aren't wreaking havoc on the world.

Character In-Depth

Namid
NAME: Namid Nahele
DATE: Unknwn
STATUS: OPEN
ALIASES: Nami, Star Dancer
NOTES: Current Occupation: Emergency Room Doctor - SD Gun for Hire.

Namid couldn't remember much of origins at this point. But, she knew she was different for her kind. The very meaning of her name proved that. They called her Namid and said it meant Star Dancer. A genetic mutation caused her snow white appearance and luminescent blue eyes. An impressive wingspan allowed her unparalleled movement in flight. She enjoyed flying, it was the absolute expression of freedom. And if you were lucky enough to catch her in flight? It absolutely looked like she was dancing in the night sky. The stars a twinkling backdrop for the spectacle.

She learned the early ways of healing. Then watched as healing evolved into medicine. Her focus had always been on the things that caused people to war. Things that caused people to kill indiscriminately. It was an affliction of the mind and spirit - she sought to find a way to stem it. This thing would later find many names until it was merely called insanity. The treatment of those who were 'insane' was barbaric. From a complete lack of care to neglect, it offended her sensibilities.

So she began to study the mind in earnest. Learning what she could; where she could. Applying techniques from mystics and famed doctors alike. There had to be a way to negate the negative effects of the mind. Thousands of years of study, she had her own breakthrough. Honing her own psychic powers to help balance mental instability.

It was easily teachable - and so she had. Shown those with kind hearts, patience, and dedication, the way to alleviate mental instability. It wasn't always successful, but for the times it was? It was absolutely worth it.

Between work in the medical field, Namid was a renowned bounty hunter. Her pathfinding ability was second to none.

Following a case brought her to The City initially. Secondarily, word of a Black Ops facility conducting 'experimental' treatments needed a neurological specialist. Someone to monitor brain function and activity in their patients. The prisoners from Panopticon were guinea pigs - and there were Solo Demon's as well.

She couldn't abide the horrific treatment of the patients. Namid worked tirelessly to prevent patients from sinking into madness, villainy, despair or hopelessness. The weight of emotions can kill as quickly as any poison. There were a small group of patients that were the worst of the worst. Things were crumbling in The Facility ranks. She took advantage of that dissension to free a small group of patients. She told them to run. To live their life and remember her kindness. She told them that one day, she'd find them.

So long ago now - she had thrown herself into missions and work around The City. Thousands of years? Hundreds of years? Time is of no consequence when you have plenty of it. But - something sparked her vision one day. A path, she thought once closed off ...opened once more.
