Character Summary

"Bear no arms, I'll rip them from you. As a corpse, no more harm you'll do."

Trigger warning: Violence, mutilation, gore

Solomon Reinhard isn't even his real name.

It's not Bob and it's not Stephen and it's not Angus and it's not John and it's not Kurtis and it's not Raegon. It's not David and it's not Michael and it's not Murphey and it's not Adam. It's not anything anyone has ever heard of before because he has never spoken of it to anyone before.

Solomon, as we will call him, is a demon entrenched in secrecy. He is cryptic and mysterious. Wild and barbaric in ways that modern society has never been witness to before. He is the epitome of sin, the reason why fear of the dark exists. He is a formidable opponent when it comes to all forms of combat, and when he combines his shapeshifting, teleportation, and necrosis abilities, it makes him even more dangerous.

But like all sins, he is not obvious. He is ever changing, ever evolving to become something more. Something greater. He walks among others as though he belongs there, constantly shifting his shape and his persona and his very atomic essence in order to adapt. Solomon is an amoeba within the world, a predator that preys on whatever he can wrap himself around. But again... he is not truly discernible.

He feeds on the process of death, which means that he keeps his victims alive for as long as possible. Feasting on the body's desperate efforts to keep itself in a living state. Solomon uses his job at a cattle slaughterhouse to hide his gruesome feeding methods, and he never brings what -or rather, who - he eats home with him. When his victims finally perish, he dumps them into the trash with the rest of the bovine parts and uses his Necrosis to melt them beyond recognition.

Victims themselves are kept in special cages that he has hidden beneath the slaughterhouse. Each one is branded with important information regarding the state of their health and current appearance. See an example of what he might scrape onto their backs here:

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 190 lbs

Species: Human

Blood type: A-

Eyes: Intact

Nose: Intact

Ears: Intact

Mouth: Intact

Teeth: Far right molar missing, otherwise intact

Genitals: Intact

Scars: Three. Two on upper left chest, one across right eyebrow

Anomalies such as bumps, tumors, boils, etc: None

It is in the above way that inspires Solomon's feeding habits. The physical state of the individual helps him to decide where to cut, how to torture, and what methods to utilize in the extraction of 'food'.

There is one more thing that inspires Solomon, though it does so in ways that are apart from his sinister feeding habits: anthropodermic bibliopegy. If he finds a particular demon or human either fascinating enough or offensive enough, he will skin them - usually alive - and bind one of his diaries with said skin. This process is done at his slaughter house, in one of many rooms that so few know about. To date, Solomon has a total of 250 human skin-bound books in his private collection.

Ascensions and Legacies
Dominion 1

Mastery: Greater

The ability to create explosions, and the power to create bombs of various types from thin air.

Power Based: Larger and more destructive explosions.

Control Based: The more precise the combustion and farther away from you your bombs can travel before detonating or being detonated.

Dominion 2

Shape Shifter

Mastery: Godly

The ability to transform and reshape the form of one’s body.

Power Based: You are more realistically driven. You can change yourself to look like any person you’d like, although perfectly copying someone’s outward (ex. hair, nose, mouth, etc.) and inward (ex. blood type, dna, etc.) structure takes time and mastery. A lesser level can make themselves look like a person, but not perfectly copy someone else’s appearance by any means. Power based shape shifters have an affinity for things they can see. These people have trouble shapeshifting into more abstract things.

Control Based: You are more abstract, and driven by your imagination. You can change yourself to look like any animal you have seen in your lifetime. As your mastery grows, you may even shapeshift into the tiniest of insects; some of which you’ve never even seen except for online or on tv. Your specialty is in transforming into mythological creatures and abstract ideas, such as an angel or beam of light. Of course, the higher the concept, the harder it is to pull off. Lesser control based shapeshifters are hardly able to perform this feat. These people have trouble shapeshifting into other people.

Dominion 3

Mastery: Greater

The ability to completely transport oneself along with other people or objects to any recently-explored or familiar areas.

Power Based: The more people or objects that can be transported with the user.

Control Based: The less familiar the user needs to be with the destination in order to teleport successfully there.

Dominion 4

Mastery: Major

The creation and manipulation of rocks, dirt, mud, earth.

Power Based: The easier it is for you to call earth.

Control Based: The easier it is for you to shape earth.

Dominion 5

Mastery: Greater

The reanimation of the dead. Anything living that has since died can be reanimated, depending on how strong the dominion is, how long the thing has been dead, and how large it is. The thing reanimated cannot truly think, but can follow orders, sometimes even after the necromancer has died. Necromancy has limits: the reanimated thing will only stay reanimated for a set length of time depending on the mastery level.

Power Based: Larger and older deceased life-forms can be reanimated.

Control Based: Deceased life forms stay reanimated for longer.

Dominion 6

Mastery: Greater

The ability to induce necrosis or begin necrosis in a target’s body; users can also end the decay as well, but they cannot reverse the effects. **Necrosis: Premature cell death; the decay of human flesh. It is said that a legend once walked the City that only had to breathe on a victim to start the process; however, no matter the level mastery, skin to skin/surface contact with a target is always required. Necrosis is also not an easy dominion to control, and accidents have occurred in which people are accidentally made victims when brushing against someone with the dominion.

Power Based: The more powerful the necrosis, and the quicker it spreads to become lethal. The less control you have over who you affect in passing.

Control Based: The easier it is to start the necrosis, and the more control you have over it. People with higher control will never accidentally wither their lover’s face, or corrode their puppy’s skin, however they usually have to grab and hold on to someone for a second of two before their necrosis can activate. This can obviously lead to some clear openings for an opponent.

Character In-Depth

The demon began as all demons begin. He was a little ball of light that his parents simply left as soon as he was 'born'. When he took on his very first form, he was confused. Lost. What was this place? What was he supposed to do? How was he supposed to survive? Where was he supposed to go? Were there others like him?

With no real identity or purpose, the demon made his own. He gained a number of names over the centuries. Everything from Rakshasha to Elchmedian to Ligahoo or Loup Garou. There were many other names of course, but there are far too many to truly remember. He crossed paths with one mentor after another, his shape shifting abilities by far his strongest asset. Stories began to rise about him, a terror in the night who preyed on monsters and innocents alike; he did not discriminate.

Upon discovering The City, and seeing what it had to offer, the demon knew that he had finally answered one of his questions: Where did he belong? The answer was... here. He wasn't alone, and he could feast without worry as long as he was careful. All he needed was a cover, a job, a wife, and a hunting ground; it was perfect.

He made a life for himself, and he picked his partners carefully so as to sink seamlessly into society. Rather than choose to be with a human, he remained alone; he had more control that way, more freedom. And less chance of getting caught. The first woman he picked to be his wife lasted four night. She was a beautiful creature, but unintelligent enough that he grew tired of her quickly. And so he spent the next twelve weeks feasting on her body's attempts to remain alive. While he kept her on the very edge of death for as long as he could.

Over the last several millennia, he has taken on different names and different wives, all of which have eventually perished under his monstrous feeding habits. And now he is alone again, his life all but in tact and running smoothly but for one thing:

Another mate.
