So my biggest restriction is drugged/drunk/unconscious non-con. I won't write it, won't read it, and don't like to talk about it. I also don't care to write graphic child abuse or animal cruelty, and would prefer not to read it.

Ascensions
Dominions
The Hanged Man Tier 1. Ascension to "THE STRAWMAN"

The strawman is constructed to be deconstructed. A perfect scapegoat, a sacrifice—an effigy to be burned—the strawman may act or feel like they were created to be taken apart.

You feel new possibilities within you. You can now protect others: you gain +1 on all dice rolls when fighting to or trying to protect someone. You can take some of another person’s pain, emotional, psychological, or physical, and pull it into yourself, thus relieving them of part of it. You can also take wounds from someone else and put them onto your body. The dominions scrying, psychic, empathy, and electricity are now augmented. Your character may show unusual command of those dominions for their mastery.

Character In-Depth

Zak's story is unfortunate, though not uncommon. He was born in and raised in the shittiest part of Ghost Town to a heroin addict mother and gambling addict father. He can vaguely remember his formative years in their tiny, shithole apartment. His mom spent most of her time high out of her mind, and his father paid only the most basic attention to Zak. Neglect wasn't unusual, and the kid went to bed hungry on more than one occasion. Between the hunger pains and the longing to just be loved by his parents, Zak's demon, Cat, never went hungry.

As Zak grew, he learned to be self-reliant. Unfortunately, self-reliance eventually evolved into being the most responsible party in the family. He scraped meals together with what money his father provided, kept the apartment clean enough to be livable, and began working after school as soon as he was able to to put a little extra money towards necessities. Of course, between his parents addictions, his paychecks usually mysteriously disappeared.

Zak currently works two part-time jobs. He's a busboy at a Chinese restaurant, as well as a cashier in a local grocery store. He still rarely sees his money, as it goes into keeping his family afloat and keeping addictions satisfied, but that won't stop him from continuing to work his ass off. As much as his family pains him to be around, he feels responsible for them, and does everything in his power to keep them together. Aside from work and family, he has a girlfriend, Emma, who he's been seeing for the past year. She's a touch of light in his life, and he hopes that one day his parents will be stable enough to live on their own so that he can move in with her. Until then, his life is a constant fluctuation of emotional pain and endless work hours.

At least, that's what he thought his life was. Zak's father had to settle a major gambling debt with Bal Rosu, and did so by handing over Zak to him.

Cat. It's not an original name, but it's what Zak has called his demon since he was a child, and she doesn't seem to mind. As a matter of fact, she doesn't seem to mind much of anything at all, especially when it comes to her host. Cat has always been largely indifferent to Zak, and only seems to value him for his suffering that feeds her so well. Cat is distant, rarely ever manifesting except to lounge around in the physical world as a smilodon after a good feeding. Since she feeds off of her host's suffering, both physical and emotional, she doesn't come to his aid unless he seems to be in mortal danger.
